The EWBF, in cooperation with the Save the Children Organization, has implemented a simulation of the children’s program and proactive adaptation to climate change (Generation of Hope) – “A sustainable planet”, where 35 children were qualified with the aim of creating and activating a supportive community and a safe and encouraging space for children to contribute and express their views in protecting the environment
Raising a generation that is aware of sustainability and its goals, thus contributing to the formation of cadres of today’s children who can deliver the voices of children around the world to decision makers to contribute to creating a safe environment from changes in nature and climate.
The most important outputs of the program are as follows:
- Children’s ability to work in groups despite the existence of many differences.
- Increasing the children’s passion and interest in the environmental issues, and this was clearly shown in their words in implementing the simulation and presenting their recommendations to confront the phenomenon of climate change.
- Submitting the recommendations of the children’s words and the solutions that were proposed by them to the Youth Conference on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh before the opening of the COP27.
