The Irish Aid program of the Embassy of Ireland in Cairo:
- The EWBF has implemented, in cooperation with the Embassy of Ireland in Cairo, a promising project to support and improve the social and economic conditions of the local population in St. Katherine, South Sinai, by working to develop h andicraft products and support women’s abilities to upgrade their products and open good markets to promote these distinguished products
- Launching a distinguished website to display the products of the local community in St. Katherine, including handicrafts sk-crafts.org
- Carry out practical trainings for the selected community women’s group to design and produce samples of new products and how to ensure the preservation of their cultural heritage
- Designing and implementing a training program to raise the capabilities of the local community to identify the best methods for developing and improving the quality of handicrafts and environmental products, as well as working on conducting training courses for a group of women to produce advanced products
- Training program for a group of local community members on the best skills and methods of effective communication, which can be achieved by disseminating information about the products and handicrafts that have been developed through the project to the largest base of the community, whether at the local or national level.
